To get that time on Insane, you must be like chuck norris with Leroy Jenkins techniquesdestiny wrote:it was normal and the best time we could achieve was 1:30 even with chainsawing the doors the one thing that slowed us down was the bugs.
but we were asking ourselfes if it was that hard on normal how in the hell can you get it on insane?
and BOOM you got it
Just a hint, take an officer with grenades to nuke the first door before you even get to it, have 2 people with welders for the second (welded) door; and have 1 player defend the tech on the pad, while the other two destroy the door; also have someone with adrenaline to help make the hack go faster.destiny wrote:it was normal and the best time we could achieve was 1:30 even with chainsawing the doors the one thing that slowed us down was the bugs.

I'm trying to get myself into playing more shooters (the scrolling kind), and Söldner-X: Himmelsstürmer was one of the games I wanted to try out. Finally got it to work on my PC hooked up to the TV. I don't think it's very often that you see a shooter that runs in native 720p at 60 fps (though I could be wrong on that).

One of the first screens that come up when you run the game gives the definition of Himmelsstürmer. Sounds awesome.

So finally a shooter that uses space ships like in the old days. None of that flying anime girl stuff
Now One of the things I'd like to point out about this game is that although it was made by an Asian company, it uses many European shooter traditions, such as having a life-bar instead of a "one hit death" system. In addition to that, most of the small and common enemies require more than one shot to kill, unlike most Japanese shooters requiring only one shot for each enemy. Hm.. German name, European shooter traditions, I guess.

And one of the other European shooter traditions involves navigating around obstacles in addition to keeping an eye on enemies. I am not fond of when games do this at all.

You also realize how much your life sucks when you want to do a perfect completion of a level, but you only have 9 HP left by the time you're at the boss event.

Big tanks are awesome, and rather threatening.

Sad part is the fact that I survived on that same life with only 3 HP left.
Well that's all the stuff I have for the first level of Söldner-X right now. May cover the 2nd level later if it would stop being a pain in the ass to play.
