Okay fishing is definitely a really fun map. I caught two vortigaunts, a quick zombie, a quick headcrab, a normal zombie, a dancing zombine, and some weapons. Killed the quick headcrab with the crate, and had to lure the quick zombie to jump into the sea where it drowned itself. XD

Only problem is, it takes forever to fish something up!!! The fishing rod shakes (?) every once a while, but usually when I pull it up there's nothing on it. Also, I noticed that some of the stuff spawned in the sea did not attach to the hook. I saw at least two roller mines spawn near the hook, but only to drop back down to the bottom of the sea. Is this normal? And is there a way to decrease the amount of time it takes to catch something?

Yes, It's fairly normal for that version of the map.
Like fishing, they dont hook to your rod any faster

Many wierd and wonderful things can be caught on that map.

it depends on your fishing skills like in real i can get items and npcs like in 5 sec most of the time here is my lastest thing i fished:

It's completely randomized, neico, and has nothing to do with skills.

i meant to get the item on the hook when its not atuomatically and here are a few tricks to guess what type of item you will get too
