Yes, im currently thinking about how to make that ray seamlessly transition from the real map into the 3d skybox, i think with logic_measure_movement it should be possible.

Be careful with that shit, or you might destroy the Halo.
Well I don't know anything 'bout halo but if the beam isnt possibly in front of another object you could just as well put it completely into the 3d sky.
I dont think i can get it any more accurate, as the 3d skybox scale is 1/1024, so i guess you can imagine how hard it was already to get it as good as it is now, i had to move it around in 0.01 unit steps.
And the beam lags a few times in the video, that somehow happened after recording the demo, it doesnt happen ingame.
If you want any halo models, just let me know, I can export them.
They won't have bones for animations though.
I can get you the halo2 sky box, its just a model like any other.
