General WIP thread
Started redoing the Cafe:
(Credits to W0rf0x for providing me with an awesome layout)
These two are just other parts of the map:
I'm working on about 10 different cinematic physics events so there will be lots of destruction and explosions. Also one level consists of players riding in npc driven vehicles to escape a bunch of gunships and choppers. I was going to make it player driven but that would probably lag too much.

I've been looking at your pics in this topic I have to say it's all coming together very nicely.

Hi, just (re)started working on a map that had beconme some kind of test map for everything before, when DaMaN had asked me to optimize return c17 01.
I don't really know what the map theme will be and actually i wanted to add buildings where you're still seeing incredibly realistic walls now.
Other than that it's still really empty because i just don't have the models i would need yet.
Tell me what comes to your mind while looking at these.

@fug: If you're around when I start testing, I'll be sure to notify you. It would be an honor.
@jerc: It might be from DOD:S. Can't say because I don't own it. I got it from CSS. It fit perfectly with what I had in mind. If I get this map into the release of 1.4 I'll add all CSS models that I use (there aren't many). But ep2 will most likely need to be mounted.
@Blues: The first thing that comes to mind is a gmod style map. I like that big tree btw. Where is it from?

While I admit most of my work in the past few days has been technical, I have polished some visual parts up. Here's some pics:
This is the general scale of the new city hall. It's about 2 or 3 times larger than the one you may have seen in my previz. It won't be this ugly when I'm finished.

Overall its progressing nicely. I'm about done with the first 5-15 minutes of the map. The next part I work on will most likely be the city hall entrance. Last thing I will have to do is model my custom NPC Rebels; Klaus von Straussenberger and Jackson. Both will be voiced by me . Oh and model/animate the cinematic physics. Then onto parts 2a and 2b...
