It's just the mode you can put your computer in if you have bad vision, However it can frak up if you get a new monitor installed and it can cause various computer problems as it will corrupt stuff on your computer.

Because if everything you need like everyday is on your desktop, then you can access it with ease. And I use those files on there every day. So yea...
